I was chopping wood the other day with this 2 year old Walmart/Home Depot axe that's bent a couple inches below the blade and some electrical tape around the handle, I was finished and I threw it at a tree with one hand just messing around not expecting it to stick and when I did I strutted in my house looked at my girl and said "I may not be able to fight but I'll turn a froggy mofuka into a statistic"

Straight up is 12 throw at 3 . 1 rotation per 5 -7 feet . Meaning how hard you throw . This is what I was told and taught and I stick 10/10 . I started 5-7 feet away . I didn’t move back until I was 10/10 . Now I like to throw axes that are not meant for throwing to challenge myself. I’ll try your tips as well . They are affective and great tips . Kudos .

Try my methods lol . Tossing it in front of you like a dart is not the way.. especially if you have a dull blade

Hi - great tutorial but could you show or say what is happening with the legs ? Obviously you are stepping forward from the left foot but is it just a 1/4 1/2 or full step with the right - any clarification would be appreciated. Thanks John

This is by far the best video on ax throwing i have seen where its just your voice no music to over power your voice and you speak very well to the ear. I am 70 years old totaly blind in left eye and only 15% vision in the right eye, i built my own target for my back yard and it keeps me entertained helps me keeping my focus with my right eye, but now with your tutorial i have a better concept of ax throwing thank you and GREAT JOB

Basic ideas: 1. To throw a normal wood axe you need to throw it hard 2. Distance is important so you don't overrotate it. 3. Practice with a thick board and if your fat axe doesn't stick to it throw it with more power. you're welcome. P.S. Practice in a well-thought-out and safe manner. Preferably at a safe distance from the target and with no people around who will judge you for doing silly stuff... they don't understand anything in this world.

Why are you jumping then you release the axe.I am new to the game. Any and all tips are appreciated.

So, I throw a Corporal, and the handle has not been cut. It's still 17". I stand at the 12' line and consistently land TOE first. I'd like to get more BIT into the board for coverage. What can I do to slow the rotation down a little? Again, I stand feet at the 12' line. Thanks for any advice.

Did this 2 days ago, for the most part I did horrible but I was the only one out of 4 people to stick the knife even though it was off target. The axes are much easier and it was all fun none the less.

Gonna be doing this today at least now I have a good comprehension what to do thanks for the video!
